The totally self contained capacitor discharge instrument comes complete with fully shrouded fused test leads and includes an inbuilt test lead and fuse proving facility. Other safety features include an automatic pre-use self test, protection against prolonged connection to live operating circuits and monitoring of critical component temperatures with automatic cut off.
As the first instrument of its type, the SD300 capacitor discharge unit provides an innovative and highly effective solution for the safe discharge of electrically charged equipment - protecting the operator from danger and the equipment under test from potential damage.

Electrical isolation between probes. All test leads and probes are electrically isolated to avoid sparking during connection/disconnection.

Two handed operation Both hands are needed to initiate and maitain discharge ensuring the operator does not come into contact with hazardous parts.

Self test facility. All discharge meters and indicators, test leads and test lead fuses are tested using the in-built proving facility.

Rugged drop proof enclosure. High impact resistance, IP66 enclsoure designed to withstand the harshest of working environments.
